Looking Back...

We all had an awesome time. We worshiped, we helped, we worked, we sweated, we hardly slept; It was a really fun and powerful trip. Working in (basically) the slums of Guatemala, we all saw what these people go through every day and every night. The conditions are really harsh, brutal, saddening. It is interesting though, seeing their hope. They have hope. It is surprising really. It would be totally acceptable just to give up in the life they live, but they don't. They push forward and battle their unchanging dark future head on.

Leaving on Sunday!

So it is finally upon us. Me and my fellow travelers will be leaving on Sunday March 18, 2012. We are all very excited, and also a bit terrified of what is going to happen while we are away.

Some more specific prayer requests:
- My asthma is back, and really bad. Hopefully, it will start a decline before the weekend.
- Not me, but a lot of people are frightened by the idea of not being able to speak spanish. Hopefully, that will work out...
- Last, we will have some ridiculous work hours, and hopefully, we won't start getting grumpy and tired and such.

Passport time...

Getting my passport tomorrow! I'm working on the form right now actually! I will very soon be able to travel anywhere in the world. This is one of the big steps in getting ready for the trip.

Wow. Truly, the time is flying way faster than I thought it was going to. Only 3 more months left to raise money for the trip. I am selling amazing guatemalan coffee for $16.50 ($20.00 total if we have to ship it to ya!), and also, donations are greatly appreciated! I have raised $525.00 towards my $950.00 goal.
